Lavae stood out for her absolute confidence, compassion, and anticipating every need that might arise. She was prepared in every way, observant, and reassuring. I know that the pain and nausea I felt post procedure would be taken care of sooner rather than later.
Lavae never hesitated to explain things to me, what I could expect, and the reassurance I needed that all was going well.
I do remember a fairly complicated monitor that was proving to be problematic for the shift supervisor, the nurse for the following shift and even the technician. Luckily, Lavae had not left yet, came back and reset the monitor to function accurately.
So often these wonderful people do not get recognized every day for their expertise and care. When a nurse like Lavae is assigned to you, you have really "lucked out". She is truly professional.
