Where do you begin with Colleen? The number of hats that she wears is unbelievable. As her patient, I have leaned on her for constant and continual support throughout my kidney donation process. She has been with me every step of the way, from late night emails to answering my constant stream of questions to listening when I just needed to talk. She goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable throughout the entire living donor evaluation and donation process. She is the quarterback of the operation but never proceeds without her patients' consent. She allows you to move at your pace and this day and time that is so refreshing. She is such an asset to have on the abdominal organ transplant team. Without her, I don't know that I would have been as so comfortable and had such a positive experience as a living donor. At the end of the day, I knew no matter what I had someone watching out for my best interest.
