Kriston being assigned as my L&D nurse was not by chance. After a normal delivery, I suffered a post-partum hemorrhage which needed an emergency trip to the OR. Her experience and quick response weren't only what kept me alive, but her persistence and desire to stay with me, holding my hand running down the hall to the OR in the emergency, and making sure I knew she was right there with me, meant more than words can express. From joking about gum and Chapstick, starting my induction, to being put to sleep in the OR, she was my person. And when she had to leave me in the OR after the emergency, she went straight back to be with my husband and baby. I thank her for coming into my life and saving it.
