My husband had a brain bleed. He got very confused and jumped out of bed and peed on both the floor and bed. Demi was very calm and kind to him and told him that he could not get out of bed. She cleaned up after him and cleaned him up. He was very agitated, and she was so calm and talked to him quietly, but firmly. He listened and calmed down. She never got cross with him. She understood that he wasn't understanding what was going on at this time.
The next morning, Demi realized he could no longer use his left hand to eat so she knew he needed another CT Scan; meaning she was watching him so very carefully. She helped me to keep him calm also. This was very stressful. I had not been able to sleep so she said for me to lie down and not to worry about him. She will never know how much her kindness and caring has meant to me.
Demi allowed me to stay with him until she knew he was out of trouble. Her considerate actions put me at ease to trust her so that I could focus on my husband. She took the time to speak with me and to let me know that we as a group were caring for my husband.
