Dawn is flexible and takes on responsibilities beyond Med-Rec time and time again with a flexible and positive attitude. She wears a smile and is genuine in wearing it.
One weekend she came up with an idea to create fun, smiles, and make people feel special. It's an idea which generates team playing, support, and camaraderie with one another. Each weekend we work, a princess of the day will be chosen to wear a tiara, some fairy wings, receive a certificate and have their picture taken. We will work together to be sure the chosen person will feel extra special and we will devote ourselves to ensure them a "good day".
A family with a little girl heard the story of a princess on 2North and came to find and meet the princess, but the princess had received an HR. I talked to the little girl about the princess and she was a bit disappointed. I called Dawn and she went to meet the little girl and her parents on the Peds Unit and shared the picture of the princess with her. Dawn bestowed the little girl with the princess tiara and wings. Dawn made this little girl feel so special and I'm sure her parents were pleased by this act of kindness. I believe this little girl and her parents were visitors.
