I have received several compliments about Kim's excellent performance during leadership rounding and discharge phone calls. For examples, a patient stated that she was very patient, attentive, and gentle. She was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She provided compassionate, loving, faithful care. She took the time to listen and explain the discharge instructions. She reached out to social workers and case managers to offer available resources. Kim always has a smile on her face and patients always tell me that she enjoys her job. Kim is always forming a true empathetic connection with her patients.
Staff on 6 North stated it was a pleasure to see Kim as she always greets you with a smile and is ready to provide patient care to her best ability. She readily offers help to her peers and adapts well to change, always in a positive manner. Kim is a strong patient and family advocate. Kim is creating an empowered team that can significantly influence staff morale, productivity, staff retention, patient care, quality, and patient safety. She arranges several social events, both inside and outside of the campus, to bring 6 North staff together. She truly creates a culture of recognition on 6 North and it has already spread. She is a leader of the unit base retention and recruitment committee. She always encourages her colleagues to recognize the efforts of others in a private or public manner.
