C was born on a Sunday and passed shortly after birth. The physicians did all they could and we appreciate that. We knew what the expectations were with C and the survival rate was not in our favor or hers, but we were given time to grieve as a whole family. There were about 20 of us in the room.
Noreen went above and beyond that day, showing a tremendous amount of compassion to each and every one of us, to make sure every one of us was comfortable at all times, especially C's mom.
She made sure we always had a cart full of food and snacks, beverages, etc., and made sure the room was adequate for all of us.
I strongly feel Noreen did an outstanding job in showing compassion for us this day with the passing of our new addition who became our angel.
Noreen showed excellence in the care given to Mom. She understands her job well as an RN and team player on the Birthing Center and NICU. But mostly to us as a grieving family.
Noreen always displayed an abundant amount of integrity by honoring the fact that Mom wanted all of us in the room with no need to leave for any reason. Noreen went about her job duties as an RN and let us respectfully be together and take the time needed. Again making sure each of us was comfortable at all times, and checking with all of us to see if any of us needed anything. Reminding us counsel is available, food snacks available, family room available, and she was there if we needed to talk or cry.
With this being said, it is with heavy hearts we had to leave C Tuesday evening, but Noreen reassured us all, as we departed that evening, that they would always be there if we had any questions, or concerns even later down the road once we got home.
I strongly feel Noreen went out of her way this day to display the values of Aspirus as a whole, individual, and community.
Thank you, Noreen. You are a true DAISY Nurse.
