Trish was nominated for her compassion and empathy when caring for a woman who experienced a stillbirth. The woman came into the hospital to deliver the baby and was quickly ready to leave as soon as the baby was delivered. Trish realized that the woman was not yet ready to grieve for her loss, so she made her an album of the baby's handprints and footprints to help her grieve when she was ready.
"I have never lost a child and I cannot fathom the pain these women go through," a colleague wrote. "I know that if I were in labor or giving birth to a stillborn, I would want Trish as my nurse."
Trish always shows up to work with a smile to share with her colleagues and patients alike, and she treats her patients and their families with the utmost respect and compassion.
