I gave birth to my first child on Christmas Eve. Nicole was my labor and delivery nurse and made me feel very supported. Nicole's shift started when I had already been pushing for 30 minutes.
Nicole stayed with me and motivated me for another two hours trying different positions and keeping me motivated and focused the entire time. Eventually, it was advised that due to the size of my son's head and the fact that I could get to a 2 when pushing but the head would immediately go back to a 0 after each contraction, that a c-section would be the best decision. I was absolutely terrified and the combo of my nerves and medication caused me to shake uncontrollably.
Christmas Eve ended up being a busy night and Nicole helped advocate for a single room for my husband and me which was greatly appreciated. Giving birth was one of my biggest fears and being under Nicole's care gave me the confidence to accept what was transpiring and go with the flow. Thank you!
