Kathy is a tremendous nurse. She has a lot of experience on the floor and in ICU but now is on the case management side. Kathy gives 120% every day. She stays late to make sure she has helped all the patients for that day. She goes above and beyond to meet patient needs even if it means she spends her own money to go to Walgreens to get what they need. Kathy is very caring and personal with all the patients. She will stop whatever she is doing to help someone even if it is not her patient. Kathy is always smiling and kind even on difficult days.
I had a patient who had gone home the day before and they were calling about services. Kathy stopped everything and called that family to clear up any questions and information that they needed.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Kathy Collmann. Today Kathy worked on dismissal planning for a patient who wasn't assigned to her. The family was pretty anxious about the patient being discharged. Kathy was able to get things set up with a plan that worked best for the family and patient.
