I was what the medical professionals call a high-risk pregnancy. I was frequenting Women's Health twice a week the last trimester and sometimes more. I myself am a nurse. I had felt that sometimes, throughout my pregnancy, people would assume I knew what to expect or did not need things explained to me because of my medical background. This was my first pregnancy and we were expecting a baby in just a few months. I felt like a deer in the headlights.
Valerie took her time explaining things to me, shared stories from her own pregnancies, and made all the difference in my comfort levels going into the days before delivery. She communicated with other nurses and providers in her practice to ensure that everyone was on board with my plan of care while addressing my questions and concerns. She is a wonderful nurse.

Valerie has patience and empathy and took time to listen to my concerns. She validated me and took all the time I needed to educate and calm me. I felt incredibly safe and cared for talking to her. I appreciate her so much!
