My parent has been in the care of Trinity several times over the past few months, and their care has been very good. I have witnessed doctors, nurses, technicians, and other support personnel who deserve to be recognized for their polite, kind and dedicated service. If anyone asked me to comment on Trinity Bettendorf Hospital, I would raise this staff above all others I have experienced.
During this particular stay, my parent was admitted from the ED to Med 1. I met and witnessed a truly exemplary nurse. My parent is not a well individual with many health issues who can become, understandably, impatient, confused, demanding and depressed. As a Christian who loves God, they are ever faithful but tiring of the pain and discomfort the final stage of life has brought. Nurse Kelly Peterson, managed this challenging patient with grace. I would describe her as one of those angels of life who every day offers a cup of strength and love for all those whom she serves. Kelly went far above what I believe should be expected of any nurse or caregiver.
Kelly was just as concerned for my physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. She took time to talk with me and listen to my concerns. She recognized and acknowledged my struggles with seeing my parent become so weak and dependent. This simple act of kindness helped me more than I can express. Kelly is a DAISY Nurse for her extraordinary care, for her kindness and for going above and beyond every day. Thank you, Kelly!

Kelly is an amazing team member. She builds relationships, constantly checking on everyone to make sure they have what they need. She greets everyone with a smile and makes them feel welcomed. Her patients' and family's needs are always met, she does a great job with education, making sure they understand everything. Kelly is a fantastic nurse who embodies all the characteristics of a DAISY Nurse every day!
