If I could write a novel about miss Jacobson's extraordinary care, it would be as lengthy as all the Harry Potter books put together. Stephanie is "what is RIGHT" about healthcare. The moment she stepped in our Labor and Delivery room, her smile beaming, her hand already extended, eagerly awaiting an equally enthusiastic recipient, and eye contact that invited you into her world. She enthusiastically repeated the process until she had introduced herself to everyone in the room! Such a small gesture, yet it set the tone for what was to be a great big adventure in childbirth. Stephanie not only brought pure professionalism, impeccable hand hygiene with every encounter, but she stayed in the room to discuss every care plan and bounce all her thoughts and concerns with my wife and myself. She worked endlessly to see that our baby was healthy, mom was healthy and had to make some tough calls in between. The difference between her and everyone else is that she included us, as a team, as part of the village, birthing this baby. I have nothing but respect for this Extraordinary Nurse. She clearly is a midwife because she loves the process and the families. I'm so grateful she was the beginning pages of our son's epic life tale. Thank you endlessly, Stephanie.
