Amanda recognized a huge gap in our care of mothers who have had a fetal demise. We have no process for mothers to pick up their remains and this leaves the already heart-broken mother calling multiple phone numbers at both campuses to determine where and when to pick up and most times the mother has to endure picking up their baby in an opaque specimen container. Amanda suggested a better process in which we contact the mother and walk her through the entire process. She also suggested including Chaplain services on an appropriate container for the mother to pick up. Her care in improving this process for any mother that has to go through this horrible experience will affect many in a compassionate manner in their time of need. She is truly a great nurse and I am so glad she is a part of OUR TEAM!
