We just wanted to give a little follow up about how things went with our baby. The induction went as smoothly as possible. In the end, the pushing, what little of it there was, ended up being too much pressure for her head and she was stillborn. We knew that was a high possibility, but we were still hoping for just a few seconds of her to live and take a breath with us as we held her. She was 3lbs 5oz and 16.5 inches long. She was precious. She had the same exact nose as our two-year-old daughter. We decided it was best for her not to meet her in person because her face was severely bruised and swollen. We do have some pictures that she has looked at and she knows she is her sister.
Both of you were such an integral part of her life throughout the second half of my pregnancy and I couldn't have asked for a better team. You were absolute godsends. I've never felt so much love and support from strangers before. It truly meant more to me than I could ever explain. If we get the chance to meet again, I pray it is under much better circumstances.
Thank you both again for helping keep our baby alive as long as possible and taking care of our family.
