Jennie is an extraordinary RN that works in the MS Infusion Center. Having MS can be very overwhelming and emotional. She always greets me with a hug and a smile when I enter the infusion center. She actively listens to my issues whether they are good or bad and offers emotional support. Jennie is very knowledgeable and offers me great suggestions on how best to handle my issues as they arise. She goes above and beyond to make sure that my infusions go smoothly and are a positive experience. Jennie is a very warm and loving person, and this is reflected in her work. Jennie is a true asset to the MS Center. It is nurses like her that make NW Hospital the only place that I was to receive my healthcare.
***
Jennie is a kind and compassionate RN. Not only does she have a great bedside manner, but she is also an expert and leader for the other Infusion RNs. She is the go-to for starting difficult IV's and performing blood draws.
Jennie helps to champion patient safety with appropriate RN to patient ratios. She also manages all of the per diem infusion schedules and is often called upon to be the charge nurse. During the snowstorm in February, she was the first to arrive in the clinic in the morning to make sure the patients who could make it into the clinic could still get their infusions. Jennie demonstrates "Patients Are First" day in and day out even during difficult times. She welcomes our 7:30 AM patients the same way she does at the end of the day with kindness, compassion, and support. We are thankful to have such an outstanding Infusion RN on our MS Center Team.
Congratulations Jennie on your DAISY Award!
Note: This is Jennie's 2nd DAISY Award!
