After several bad experiences, we were trying to change packing on my husband's surgical site and had no clue what to do; we landed back here in the Emergency Room with him having a heart rate of 150 due to pain through the roof. We were greeted with amazing nurses who got him back instantly and then it was like the doors to heaven were opened.
James walked in, got my husband an IV and pain meds super, super quick. We then shared our story of why and how we got here, and James made it a breeze from there. He apologized for what our previous care had been, reassured us several times that this area ran a tight ship and that none of what had happened previously would happen to us again. He explained everything very thoroughly as it was happening or what he was about to do. He was very, very kind and sincere in every aspect of care. His bedside manner is by far one of the best, he did not ever make it seem he was there to be paid, and he made my husband feel like he was truly there because he cared. His compassion for his patients is what made my husband feel comfortable to let him treat/help him.
James always had a smile every time he entered the room and always acted like my husband was his only patient; he never rushed and always took his time. He also pointed us in the direction to get help with our previous care. James was just all around a very trusting, compassionate, caring nurse who helped us in our time of need of an excellent nurse. Everyone should have a James on their team.
Thank you again times a million, James.
