Wanda goes above and beyond for our patients on a daily basis. She comes in early to make sure that the all of the patients and co-workers in her department has a pleasant day. Wanda is one of Shepherd's elite nurses. She dispenses comfort, compassion, and caring without even a prescription. When I think about all the Shepherd patients and their loved ones that Wanda has worked with over the years, I know most of them don't remember her. But I do know that she gave a little piece of herself to each of them and they to her and those threads make up the beautiful tapestry in the heart of Wanda's career as a Shepherd nurse. I know that nursing is not for everyone. It takes a very strong, intelligent, and compassionate person to take on the ills of the world with passion and purpose and work to maintain the health and well-being of the planet. Wanda is a great asset to our Shepherd family.
