June consistently rounds to the new patients on the unit even when not in her assignments to ensure that they are on boarded in a manner that will welcome them to our service and to ensure that all the details of admission are done. June has also taken it upon herself on several occasions to go over and visit a patient on the other units when they feel that they cannot tolerate the rehab program's physical demands. She has brought them over, toured them and then visited them throughout their rehab stay. Many of these patients went on to have excellent clinical outcomes that have improved their quality of life. Had she not made that personal effort, their journey may have been very different.

One patient in particular came over after a great deal of convincing, and was able to walk with a prosthetic limb. June exudes quality care and compassion in all she does.
