For as long as I have worked with Irma, I have witnessed her deliver consistent extraordinary service. She never hesitates to help out and jumps in even without being asked. She does from the simplest to the most complicated task to be a team player. She embraces the volunteers and takes every opportunity to teach them and mentor them. She is an amazing resource for me through her clinical expertise and I know I can count on her for assistance.

Though I have wanted to nominate Irma for many years but never took the time to write it. I could not delay any longer. I recently experienced a heartfelt moment when a patient who faced death sought out to find Irma to express her appreciation describing her as an "Angel" and "God Sent". It is evident to me that Irma's caring compassion goes beyond the call of duty. When she visits patients that she previously cared for, I see the look on their face brighten up as if "Hope" just entered the room. Her words are so encouraging and kind.

I never hear her complaining about anything. She is exemplary. I really hope she gets recognized because she is the true example of what we should mimic as nurses which is: compassionate, kind, competent, and flexible. Serving without expecting anything in return because that is the type of nurse that Irma is and I am honored to work with her.
