Rachel Lyons received nominations from 3 different people and was awarded the DAISY award based on all three nominations.

1. Rachel gave my mother the most awesome care we could have asked for. She always kept the family informed of our mother's plan of care. She went the mile all day. If we called for the nurse, she came instantly. Always smiling, showing how much she cared about momma and us. She made sure the family was comfortable making sure we didn't need anything. She really showed that she loves her job and that reflects in her personality.

2. My father was a patient on 3 North. Between me and my aunt we try to monitor his healthcare daily, however, we are not able to be there 24/7. When Rachel is on duty, she makes sure to keep me well informed of all things that are happening in regards to my father's care. It is a blessing to find someone that not only does their job concerning the patient but tries to make sure the family is also being taken care of and made comfortable when visiting.

3. Rachel was very professional in carrying out her nursing duties. She seemed confident and knowledgeable in her actions. She always cared for the patient in a compassionate and humble manner. My wife stated that when I became delirious, cursing and fussing, she kept encouraging me to calm down and reminding me that everything was going to be ok. We witnessed her always striving for excellence. I highly recommend her for the DAISY Award.
