From the moment that Lena came into my room (2 East/Oncology), I knew she was an outstanding person, her sense of humor, kindness, and just plain CARING was to me a great comfort in my time of discomfort.
She talked to me and explained everything she was going to do. She made me laugh and put me at ease. Lena is an outstanding role model and is deserving of this DAISY Award. Everyone who took care of me was kind and compassionate, though Lena shone above all. God bless her!

Lena enjoyed working in a team-oriented environment so much that she accepted a permanent RN position with GAMC when her Travel RN contract ended in February of 2004.
Lena is very customer service oriented. Her patients frequently compliment her for her attentiveness, genuine concern, and sincere kindness. She is also very personable and emotionally supportive to her patients and their families.
