I was a patient here at St. Joseph's and I would like to recognize Nurse Brittany. I know I am not perfect. I came here due to an accident from an ATV and infections. When I came here I was very depressed and unsure of myself and that did not help because I have bipolar depression and tend to shrink into a safe zone, by pulling away from others and getting more depressed. Brittany's positivity and kindness were infectious. She always took time to talk to me and treated me so well, not just as her job but as a person, a wonderful human being. She is inside sincere all the way even in her eyes. Brittany glows as the person she is and was a very big part of the reason I was able to pull out of my mental depression and be confident and positive in my situation.
I am grateful you had her working with me because I believe she was a Godsend at this time in my life. I had given up. Yes, I have a good job but, ever since my separation of my family, I have stayed homeless, and was going down a path of destruction. With her friendship as my nurse I want to get into a program, find a new relationship, and once again find that person in me who has been gone for a long time. I feel I owe this to your facility and to Brittany. Her treatment made me feel special again. She gave me hope and my pride back. I am grateful for this and really want to be somebody again.
I thank you St. Joseph's for all you have done for me and pray I can make it through and keep this faith that has grown in my heart. I have a newfound confidence and I owe a big part of this to Brittany for her positivity and inspiration.
