Linda has been an integral part to getting the oncology unit started here at St. Francis. She has been an oncology nurse for many years and has educated many of us "newbies" to the oncology floor. She deeply cares about the success of this unit, staff and each of the patients we care for.

Linda is an oncology certified nurse and member of the oncology nurses society. She regularly brings her journals and articles to share with us for continued learning and has been working with the oncologists to set up short training classes to further our education and pull us together as a team. Linda has taught each of us individually about anything from port accessing techniques, to oncology lab values to training us on chemotherapy administration. She is enthusiastic to teach us the very different needs oncology patients require. She is always available for questions and makes it clear she does not mind a phone call on her off day. In fact, she has been out running errands and has stopped to take a call from us and offer help over the phone when needed. She is a true mentor to each of us not only on the oncology unit, but to the other units when she is floating charge nurse.

Linda is the definition of team player and truly embodies the values of healing our patients with compassion, faith and excellence.
