Linsey Yoas, BSN, RN, Unit 3B Stepdown, UPMC St. Margaret, was nominated by a patient's family member. The visitor writes,

"Over the past seven months, my brother and I have lost our parents who both were patients of St. Margaret and received exceptional care. During the last week before my father's passing, he was in need of extensive care for his lung cancer. It was very emotional for my mother, brother, and I, and to see him pass in such a painful way. We were blessed to have Linsey as his primary nurse. She went above and beyond to care for my father, but went the extra mile to see that my family was taken care of as well. She showed unbelievable compassion and care."

The family member continues to explain that when her mother was admitted to Unit 3B for cancer care shortly after her father's passing, they were again so blessed having Ms. Yoas care for her. Ms. Yoas' care and comfort was exceptional. The family was so thankful that Ms. Yoas was with their mother when she passed for she is truly and extraordinary nurse.
