Phyllis's focus on Patient First, one of the core principles of our nursing practice model, is evident by how she focuses on controlling pain and encouraging ambulation as top priorities for her orthopedic patients. Her care exemplifies holistic nursing care for patients, families, and staff.

Phyllis serves as an excellent role model and mentor for new and seasoned nurses alike. Staff see her as a strong resource who is motivated, efficient, and portrays a professional bedside manner. Phyllis's colleagues commented on her willingness to go above and beyond her own assignment to help other staff. She is described as a "true Nurse's Nurse".
