Darlington is a special nurse who goes above and beyond to display his compassion for the Veterans on our mental health unit. He exemplifies what a nurse should be! He is kind, compassionate, and comes to work with a positive attitude, and is an asset to Building 170. He is hardworking and outstanding in dealing with difficult situations. He goes above and beyond with patient care. Words can't describe his selflessness. This is a man who has actually stood in the shower and bathed a patient who couldn't do it on their own. This is an RN whose clothes and shoes have been wet countless times, because of his dedication and compassion for our Veterans. A man who has been punched, kicked, and spit on, and kept a smile on his face while deescalating numerous situations. An RN who has dedicated countless hours of overtime to ensure the safety of our Veterans and staff. Darlington constantly demonstrates our core I CARE values.
