As a Veteran, RN, and staff member, I receive my care here at Haley and had the pleasure of having Theresa as my post-operative nurse. I had an extensive podiatry surgery and arrived to the APU uncomfortable and nauseous. Although Theresa was the charge nurse that day, she assigned herself to be my nurse and juggled both demanding assignments very well. Theresa made sure all my needs were met and that I was as comfortable as possible. She spent time talking with me and asking me about my service- I also learned about her path in nursing. I know that with only a few female beds I was taking up prime real estate, and stayed longer than the norm in APU, but I never felt rushed by Theresa, always I felt completely accommodated by her, respected and compassionately cared for. She is a gem and a true DAISY Nurse.
