Ms. Loong is very professional and well trained in nursing and exhibits a personality of comfort, compassion and caring that is greatly appreciated by the patients. I have seen up-close and first-hand how she is able to be a care coordinator and nurse navigator taking time to explain the very complicated and difficult cancer treatments that these patients go through. She is able to listen to these patients concerns and reduce their anxiety. Not only do the patients feel confident in the cancer care they are going through, but they understand the goals of therapy, side effects, and she addresses the physical, psychological and emotional needs they may have.
Her extra skill of being fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese is also very valuable in helping these patients who have difficulty with language barriers and she is able to improve and enhance the communication of patients and families to all the different specialists and consultations.
