Larissa Kreutzer truly exemplifies all of the qualities of an extraordinary nurse. Within the past year, Larissa has advanced from a staff nurse to a full time charge nurse. She has not only adapted easily to this role, but has far exceeded the standards put before her. Larissa is an amazing team leader, who shows great integrity, honesty, and teamwork on a daily basis. Her confidence and level-headed decision making can bring ease to a stressful situation. She is often looked to by coworkers for advice and assistance. Larissa is constantly challenging herself and proactively works to increase her knowledge base in order to provide exceptional care to our patients. Larissa is not only liked by her coworkers, but is also loved by our patients. She goes above and beyond to ensure that all patients remain safe and cared for on her shift. Even when in the charge nurse role, you can frequently find her visiting with patients and meeting their needs as if they were her own. Larissa is a strong advocate for our patients and her assessment skills are respected by both peers and providers. She has been a pioneer for the highest of nursing standards in ICU and is a true DAISY Nurse.

I have seen Larissa progress to one of the most competent ICU nurses I know. She not only is very clinically competent she is passionate about providing excellent care for her patients. I have on multiple occasions observed her being an advocate for her patients, whether that is requesting additional medication, testing, or various therapies. She is also able to accomplish this in a very non-confrontational manner to promote teamwork with other care providers. Larissa willingly accepts responsibilities and always is the first person to offer to help a colleague. Thank you, Larissa.
