Rhonda is an exceptionally awesome nurse. My baby was in the NICU for nearly a month for congenital anomalies due to trisomy 18; that experience for us, especially me, was so dreadful and so emotionally draining, but with Rhonda's patience, hard work and expertise, it somehow lessened our burden. We knew that our baby was always in good hands with Rhonda. She even took some photos of my baby to give to me for a keepsake as each time I went in there to see my baby, she was always asleep from medications. It was such a great photo of her and we actually used it as her funeral photo, grave mark photo and we framed it as a remembrance of our baby. It might be a simple act by her, but it meant a lot to us. She never failed to update us of our baby's condition, and she never failed to make me feel better each time I visited. With just a simple pat on my shoulder, little things like that make an unbearable pain lighter. I could always feel her sincerity with her care. Now our baby has joined the choir of angels and for sure if she would like to treasure someone she met, it would be her 'Auntie Rhonda' for the excellent care she received when she was fighting for her life to spend her really short time with her family.
