Lori went above and beyond when caring for a handicapped patient. Because he was very agitated and scared, the patient's parents were very appreciative that our ER staff placed their son in a private room, and that Lori made sure to have extra help to keep him calm. Lori took the time to personally call their son's group home owner to further ask about the injuries he had sustained.
"This was something that really made us feel like someone cared," the man's parents wrote in a nomination letter. "To have someone advocate for our son was so huge. I can't tell you how helpful that was and how much we appreciated that supportive action. Thank you so much to the ER staff for taking those extra measures for our handicapped son and giving him such caring service."
