Aimee has been our daytime nurse for two days. I can't begin to say how many different ways she has shown outstanding and compassionate care. Throughout our stay, she explained to us what was going to happen to prepare us and inform us about RSV so that we could better understand how she would be treating him. She went above and beyond when he has been very uncomfortable to try to not only make him comfortable but came anytime she would hear him cry or cough just to pat him on the back because she knew it would calm and comfort him because he likes it. She has not only been accommodating to him but always asking us if there was anything she could do or get for us as well. With us having never dealt with this before, she has also been very patient with us and answered all our questions ranging from where things are located in the hospital to the RSV and bronchitis itself. As parents, we felt more at ease because of the compassion and care she showed as if he was her own. It shows through her work that she truly loves her job. These are just a few reasons we feel she showed outstanding care and compassion.
