We had an extremely rough labor and delivery, my son ended up having a nucal cord, bad shoulder dystotica and came out requiring resuscitation. My ultimate fear was coming true - losing my son. I have nightmares still about what happened. One of the few positives are my memories of our nurse, Candace. She was extremely compassionate, caring and is truly the one to get me through. Without her quick action my son would not be alive. I will forever be grateful for her. She fought for me to get the best possible care when I was unable to do it for myself. She was my voice when I was too weak to speak for myself. She was my advocate! She was my coach and during that time, a part of our family. She gave me the courage I needed to continue on. We continued to have a rocky hospitalization. Candace continued to check on us, always coming at the most stressful and craziest moments for us. She took time to listen to us and help to find solutions for our problems. She is a true Angel and we will always remember her. Thank you Candace!
