Maria Colina is an excellent nurse. She is caring, consciousness and always strives to go above and beyond the call of duty.
Maria cares for her rehabilitation patients as though they were her own family members. She is kind, hard-working and dependable. Above all, Maria is truly compassionate with patients and their families, which is a hallmark of professional Nursing. Patients grow to love her during their sub-acute rehabilitation stay and wish she could take care of them at home.
She has the ability to communicate cheerfully and thoroughly with her patients and their families. She anticipates their needs and acts as their advocate. Maria is honest, responsible and reliable. She treats every patient with human dignity and equality.
Maria is very highly respected in the Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She has a reputation for being a team player and always remaining calm, despite crisis situations or changes in acuity.
One of the nomination letters that Maria received came from an ANRC staff member. This employee was also a family member since her mother needed sub-acute rehabilitation and was Maria's patient. She stated, 'My sisters, father and I knew that my mom was in very good hands. To this day, my mother still talks about the great care that Maria provided to her. I get to witness her commitment and dedication to her patients on a daily basis. She is one of the reasons I am proud to be an Armenian Nursing & Rehabilitation Center employee.'
Maria is undoubtedly an asset to our organization and deeply admired by all.
