Toni went above and beyond for a patient. The patient is from Germany and came to the hospital with rupture of membranes at around 30 weeks. Toni took her husband to Target to get some things for the patient and to the grocery store to get some snacks for them. Toni took and washed all the clothes that was given to them by employees at the hospital and brought them back to the hospital before the baby was born. She also cooked meals for them and brought them to the hospital. Dr. D bought the patient a car seat and Toni went to pick it up and bring it to the hospital because the patient had their car seat back in Germany. She also came on her day off when the patient was discharged and brought the patient to the hotel room to help get them settled in. Then she took the couple and the baby out to lunch and to get the baby's birth certificate and passport so they will be able to return to Germany. Then a package arrived here for the patient and Toni came to the hospital and picked up the package and brought it to the hotel. Toni has done a lot of this after work and on her off days. The patient was very nervous as this was her first child and she was away from all her family and friends, and Toni made her feel so comfortable. The patient was very grateful and thankful for all we have done for her and her husband and her precious little girl. The patient states we were like family and if this had to happen she was lucky enough for it to happen the way it did. Toni deserves this award for everything she has done and will do for this patient until the patient returns to Germany.
