Kiersten is an awesome nurse, and she went way beyond her duties as a nurse. My daughter has been in this room for a few months and we have had some amazing nurses, but Kiersten did something I had never seen before in all my years of having my daughter in the hospital. The doctor told us that none of the medications are working and my daughter was pretty upset. Kiersten sat down on the bed beside her and just held her hand and talked to her. That meant so much to my daughter and me.
Kiersten is always coming in the room to check on my daughter and asks if we need or want anything. Kiersten always leaves the room by saying if you need anything push the call light and she will be here. She is always here within minutes when we do use the call light.
Today my daughter's colostomy bag busted. Kiersten jumped right in and helped me clean her up and change her whole bed. Kiersten really made a difference in how my daughter felt the past few days. Kiersten is a blessing.
