My birth plan was to go natural without an epidural. Rene was my labor nurse and she by far exceeded her job description! When contractions got really hard, Rene was there not only teaching my husband and my mom how to distract me and keep me focused on my breathing, but she stayed by my side through every one of them. Then when labor progressed really fast and I felt like giving up, I couldn't catch my breath and I was asking for an epidural, there was no judgment, she just calmly said OK. I didn't end up having an epidural because of a lack of time. Rene got me through it with her encouragement, incredible skills in distraction, and her calming demeanor. I am beyond impressed with Rene, and 100% sure that she was made for this. My whole family and I are grateful for the great outcomes that Renee was a huge part of.
