Kimberly spreads her happiness and energy as she enters the room. She only was one shift with us but we will sure remember her and her smile. She was the only one that asked my son about a fun fact of himself, and since he didn't find one at the moment she changed the question to what you like to do and wrote it on the board. Immediately she started to use this fact to make a connection with my son and to distract him during the day. She did the same during the entire shift; there was always a subject to talk about, books, movies, etc. Also her caring service was exceptional, it went beyond the expected, and she anticipated all of our needs. She didn't have to be called; we thought about it and there she was opening the door. Besides being the only nurse to come in every hour of her shift, or more often if necessary, and completing on the board the pain plan, Kimberly also took out the linen, took all the trash out, changed the bed sheets, all in one shift. She also communicated and reminded us the prescription administration plan and addressed every concern. Something remarkable was that she kept in mind the timing of the infusions, so she was there on or before the machine beeped. Kimberly definitely "raised the bar"; she was remarkable. We are glad we met her and will remember her as our favorite nurse who loves to read.
