Ann Marie Murphy is an excellent clinical nurse who goes above and beyond for the infant patients she cares for. Just one of the extras she does is on Holidays she provides an activity for the families and their infants. Parents express their joy at the "normalcy" of the events.
This past Halloween Ann Marie started knitting costume caps for the patients that corresponded with the unit's Disney theme. She then coordinated the nursing staff to also make matching bibs. She buys decorations for the unit. The parents are overwhelmed with joy at the thoughtfulness when they see their child in costume. Ann Marie has been doing this for many years for families that do not have their child home for the holiday.
