We thank God for Megan because she was one of our many angels we encountered as I traveled the road to recovery with my husband. I also know that whatever crisis there is in our lives, before it ever comes, God makes sure we'd be able to endure it, as scripture states "The joy of the Lord is your strength". I know it's because I have God's joy that I had strength for this journey with my husband. Nominating Megan for this award is one of the ways we would like to say "thank you" to her.
Megan Klei is the epitome of a nurse! I would like to call your attention to the professional quality of service provided by Megan. We believe that she has responded to the call of service like none other we have ever seen in this line of work.
Megan worked her whole shift, relentlessly, with my husband while he was in the SICU. She was knowledgeable on everything going on with him and kept us informed. I could see that she was not just this way with my husband, but also with the other patients she was caring for. The concern that Megan displayed and her willingness to do whatever she could to make my husband feel better was remarkable to me. Her humanitarian attitude lightened the heaviness my family and I were feeling at the time. She always reflected the highest standards of professionalism, and it was greatly appreciated by me and my family as we were trying to deal with my husband's distress. I realize that for her, this was probably a rather "normal" routine; after all she is a nurse! However, she responded, nonetheless in a manner that I thought was above her professional occupation.
Many of the other nurses we encountered on this journey were also great, but I thought Megan superseded all of them! For that Megan, we are grateful to you. Gratitude is a boomerang; it blesses the recipient, makes a 180-degree turn, and blesses the person who gives so much of themselves. She deserves this DAISY Award, and our family gives our sincere thanks to Megan Klei for the quality of service she provided.
