Taylor truly cares about his patients. Not only the patient but their families too. My daughter was in the PICU for 2 weeks and Taylor was our nurse if he was working. We always requested him. He cared for my daughter like she was his own. He was so gentle with her and did extra stuff for her. For example, he would always take the time to suction and clean her mouth from where the ventilator was going into her mouth. He is always so happy and cheerful. He makes it the best experience as possible for the parents and the family. He would even make sure I was taking care of myself. He worked well with others. He collaborated with the other nurses and her ECMO team. He helped them with anything they needed. He would mentor students coming in from different colleges. He would take the time to explain everything to them and was very thorough and made sure if they had questions to answer them. He worked great with the whole PICU team, from the doctors to respiratory therapists, to her ECMO team. He did everything he was supposed to do and more, always with a smile on his face. He would take initiative when appropriate. He was just honestly the greatest nurse I could have asked to care for my daughter. He was a major part of making my experience at AR Children's a great one.
***
He is one of the most caring people on the staff at Children's Hospital. The compassion he showed was above and beyond. He even took the time to attend a patient's funeral.
