I was hospitalized in April and was scheduled to have a BIL BKA. Carmen was my nurse the day I got the news. I am only 28, she talked with me and gave me comfort and even cried with me. She worked on her day off, my surgery day, to be with me in the OR. Plans changed, God intervened and saved my legs. Carmen was waiting for me when I awoke. Her compassion and caring were felt every time her smiling face came in my room. She is the best. She also seemed to know every time my condition had changed as well as attended to my pain and the needs of my family.
