I was hospitalized for shoulder surgery, and then I had heart Afib issues that landed me in the CICU. That was distressing enough but the first night was miserable. The nerve pain pump was pumping on the blood pressure cuff that was pushing on the IV at by elbow. The first thing Melissa said when she came in was, "We need to get you straightened up" and she did. She moved the pump to my right side, removed the IV at my elbow and used a port at my wrist. That all felt heavenly. Plus she straightened up the room itself. I just have a memory of it being cluttered. I was very pleased with her kindness and caring to me and my family as we were dealing with the medical problems. Melissa just went the extra mile to make me comfortable and was reassuring when I had concerns.
