My first interaction with Tara was when she called me to tell me my induction was being postponed and that I needed to call back in the morning. I was disappointed, she was very apologetic. After not sleeping well that night I called in bright and early to have the baby. Upon arrival, the night nurse got us all set up and said Tara would be our nurse. She had already said she wanted to be our nurse after the phone call the night before. Tara came in very bubbly and personable. The unit was having some difficulties with equipment that day, but Tara kept a positive spirit. She made sure that we had everything we need, including a request for a larger room. She exceeded all of our expectations. She didn't mind doing even the not so pleasant things that come with labor and childbirth. She did this all with a smile on her face. She became one of our biggest cheerleaders and encourager. Even at the end of her shift, she made it a point to come back and check on us. She made our visit and birth memorable. She was my absolute favorite nurse, we hope that if we have another baby that we would be lucky enough to have her as our nurse. Thank you for your positive spirit, we need more nurses like you in the world.
