Jessica was recognized by a patient seeking help for drug addiction. The patient said Jessica was professional when evaluating him but went beyond that to show compassion and give him reassurance that coming to the ER was a positive and courageous act. Jessica reassured the patient in the possibilities of sober living and in the strength of the recovery community in the area - something the patient said he was really worried about. The patient also said Jessica has a contagious smile that is reassuring to someone with an unfavorable mix of emotions. He said he is blessed to have met Jessica and Midland Memorial Hospital is blessed to have her.
The patient is now three months sober and is teaching again. He said he cannot thank Jessica enough!

She knew when Jessica interviewed that she was a perfect fit for the position. She described Jessica as compassionate, but straightforward, Jessica will not sugar coat it for you. Jessica is knowledgeable, patient, and witty. She can always make you laugh and she is an advocate for her patients and an expert in her field.
