Aston has been recognized for her thorough patient teaching with a patient who was admitted for preterm labor due to smoking. Aston reminded the patient that she was able to resist smoking during the time she was hospitalized and that she should stop smoking during her pregnancy. Due to her thorough teachings, the patient was convinced to stop this addictive and harmful behavior and was able to return home safely to deliver at full term.

Aston helps her fellow nurses with their assignments, and assists the physicians when in need. Aston sings and hums softly while completing her nursing task, which calms others around her.
