A patient wrote: the first time I met Eva, was the night I arrived on the cancer unit. I was still in shock about the news of having cancer and the journey I was about to travel. Immediately upon meeting Eva, I knew my struggle would be so much easier with her by my side. She made me feel like she was here just for me! She listened, always acknowledging my pain and sorrow. Most of all, Eva was compassionate, not only caring for me, but her entire profession as a registered nurse. She loved what she did and showed it.

After being readmitted a second time, I was thrilled to see my angel come walking through the door. Yes, Eva was my nurse. I knew immediately that my day was going to be great. My days have been so much easier knowing Eva would be here. She not only made sure my pain was addressed, but that I was always comfortable. No matter what it was, she was here. What more could any patient want or need? If I was sad or upset, she was here not only to listen but to help in any way she could. I felt comfortable with her and she has made my journey so much easier!
