At midnight one day, Becky began receiving calls from the in-house surgical nurses. They had a surgical emergency that was COVID positive and were paralyzed with fear and concern. Becky quickly realized that this surgical emergency was going to need her helping hand and leadership. She came into the hospital instead of directing from home to help this patient get to surgery quickly. This type of leadership led to a lifesaving outcome for the patient! Further delay would have most likely led this 95-year-old to her death. Rebecca's leadership and example should be commended.
