While in Children's Hospital, Alisha was not only a nurse who took care of all my medical needs with a loving attitude but a friend who I looked forward to seeing whenever she had to check on me. She encouraged me, shared stories with me and my family, and had a great attitude during my whole stay. She reassured me that I wasn't too old to stay at Children's and encouraged me to keep trying to get better. She comforted me by explaining how she had similar problems and that everything I was struggling with would end up alright. All in all, her care for me not only saved my life while I was in the hospital, but it saved and change my life by teaching me how I could be myself and find people who like me for myself. Alisha's friendship and care encouraged me to keep getting better and continue my life so I could be a positive influence for others in the way that she was to me.
